Ingredients

  • 1 yellow Duncan Hines cake mix
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 8 tablespoons oleo
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix the cake mix, sugar, water, and oil in a bowl.
  3. Add the vanilla and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Fold in the sour cream until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased Bundt pan.
  6. Mix the brown sugar, oleo, and cinnamon to make the filling.
  7. Stir in the chopped nuts.
  8. Spoon the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top of the batter in the pan.
  9. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Immediately turn out the cake onto a wire rack and let cool.
  11. While warm, pour a thin powdered sugar glaze over the cake.
