Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups cocoa
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, cocoa, salt, and hot water in a saucepan.
  2. Stir over medium heat until sugar and cocoa are dissolved.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Let it boil for 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and cool.
  6. Add vanilla and stir well.
  7. Store in refrigerator for use as a sauce or beverage flavoring.
