Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 onion
  • 1 package Lipton onion soup (dry)
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 2 cans water
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • pinch of sugar
  • 1 small can mushrooms
  • black olives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown onions and garlic in olive oil.
  2. Add crumbled ground beef and brown well.
  3. Stir in onion soup, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and add two cans of water.
  4. Mix ingredients thoroughly.
  5. Add Italian seasoning, a pinch of sugar, mushrooms, and olives if using.
  6. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, adding more water if needed.
