Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. milk

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sifted flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cut in the Crisco until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
  3. Add milk and stir until blended.
  4. Knead lightly 8 to 10 times.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 425°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
