- Combine egg, milk, and lemon extract in a bowl.
- Add 2 cups Bisquick to the mixture and stir until smooth to form batter.
- Cut each of the 4 slices of bread into 9 small square pieces.
- Drop bread pieces into the batter to coat.
- Deep fry the coated bread pieces in oil for about 2 minutes until golden brown.
- While still hot, roll the malasadas in sugar.
