Ingredients

  • 3 pt. cider
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. bread, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Bring cider to a boil, skim off any foam, and add sugar.
  2. Brown bread cubes in margarine until golden brown.
  3. Beat eggs well, then add 2 tablespoons sugar, flour, milk, and allspice to the mixture.
  4. Add the egg mixture to the boiling cider and stir.
  5. Just before serving, stir in the browned bread cubes.
