Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Grease 6 or 8 iron popover pan cups or custard cups.
  2. Place the custard cups on a 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan.
  3. Place the popover pan or custard cups in refrigerator to chill.
  4. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the flour, milk, eggs, and salt until the flour is moist and the batter is lumpy.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, filling each cup about halfway.
  6. Place the pan in the oven and set the temperature to 400°F (200°C).
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the popovers are golden brown and puffed.
