Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Position the knife blade in the food processor bowl.
  2. Add the self-rising flour and cold butter to the food processor.
  3. Cover and process, pulsing 6 to 7 times, until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
  4. With the processor running, slowly add the buttermilk through the food chute until the dough forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
