Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 (6 oz.) package raspberry jello
  • 2 pints softened vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, heat 3 cups water to boiling over high heat, then turn the heat to low.
  2. Stir in the raspberry jello until just dissolved.
  3. Quickly stir in the softened vanilla ice cream, cutting it into small chunks to help it melt faster.
  4. Ensure the mixture is only lukewarm, which is very important.
  5. Pour the mixture into a 2-quart mold or dish.
  6. Chill overnight until set.
  7. Use a 2-quart Pyrex oblong dish for shaping the dessert.
