Egg biscuits are light, slightly sweet treats with a hint of lemon, perfect for breakfast or snacks, suitable for all ages and versatile in presentation.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 1/2 bottle lemon extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl, make a hole in the middle, add wet ingredients and mix to form a soft dough.
  2. Do not knead the dough.
  3. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Bake for 8 minutes at 425°F.
  5. Do not overcook.
  6. May be frosted if desired.
