Ingredients

  • 8 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 3 to 4 c. croutons
  • 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb. bacon

Instructions

  1. Mix eggs, milk, dry mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Melt margarine in a casserole dish.
  3. Cook bacon until browned, then chop it in a blender or by hand.
  4. Add croutons to the melted margarine, adjusting the amount based on desired dryness.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the croutons in the casserole dish.
  6. Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese over the egg mixture.
  7. Sprinkle chopped bacon on top.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes until set and golden.
