Ingredients

  • 4 slices buttered toast
  • 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Place broken pieces of buttered toast in a buttered dish.
  2. Top the toast with grated sharp Cheddar cheese.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix eggs, salt, dry mustard, and milk.
  4. Pour the mixture over the cheese and toast in the dish.
  5. Chill the dish for 24 hours.
  6. Bake at 350°F (177°C) for 45 minutes to 1 hour until set and golden.
