Ingredients

  • 5 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups lard
  • 2 egg yolks
  • water

Instructions

  1. Mix together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Cut in lard until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Place egg yolks in a cup.
  4. Fill the cup with water to three-quarters full.
  5. Pour the water slowly into the flour mixture while stirring with a fork.
  6. Mix until the dough comes together.
  7. Roll out the dough as usual.
  8. Use to line pie pans. Can be frozen after rolling and before baking.
