Nutmeg Pear Cake

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch fluted tube pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, ground nutmeg, baking soda, ground cinnamon, salt, and baking powder.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together sugar, vegetable oil, beaten eggs, apple cider, and vanilla.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir well.
- Stir in the mashed pear halves and chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 65 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
