Ingredients

  • 2 qt. elderberries, crushed
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Combine crushed elderberries, sugar, and vinegar in a large pot.
  2. Bring slowly to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Cook rapidly until the mixture thickens, stirring frequently.
  4. Pour hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-inch headroom, and seal.
  5. Process the jars in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
