- Melt butter in an 8 or 9-inch round pan.
- Put half of the melted butter in the bottom of the pan.
- Prepare the self-rising flour with enough milk to form a sticky dough similar to drop biscuits.
- Put the dough in the pan and spread it out evenly over the butter.
- Pour the remaining melted butter over the top of the dough.
- Cut the dough into serving pieces as desired and run a knife through the cuts a couple of times to distribute the butter into the cuts.
- Bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
