Ingredients

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • Milk (enough to make a sticky dough)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in an 8 or 9-inch round pan.
  2. Put half of the melted butter in the bottom of the pan.
  3. Prepare the self-rising flour with enough milk to form a sticky dough similar to drop biscuits.
  4. Put the dough in the pan and spread it out evenly over the butter.
  5. Pour the remaining melted butter over the top of the dough.
  6. Cut the dough into serving pieces as desired and run a knife through the cuts a couple of times to distribute the butter into the cuts.
  7. Bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
