Instructions
- Cream the shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Stir cocoa into boiling water together.
- Mix soda and buttermilk together.
- Add cocoa mixture to creamed mixture alternately with flour and vanilla. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until done.
- Frost with chocolate icing.
