Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. salt
  • 4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. mineral oil
  • food coloring

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, salt, and cream of tartar in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add water, oil, and food coloring to the dry ingredients.
  3. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is very thick and sticks together, about a few minutes.
  4. Remove the play dough from the pan and knead until smooth.
  5. Let it cool if necessary, then it's ready to play with or store in an airtight container.
