Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 6 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt; when cool, add beaten eggs.
  2. Sprinkle the yeast into warm water.
  3. Stir until dissolved.
  4. Add to first mixture.
  5. Add flour slowly; blend well. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  6. (Can be made the night before.)
  7. Roll into shape using extra flour.
