Fake Baked Steak

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds lean ground beef
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 medium-sized onions chopped
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 soup can water or milk
  • fine cracker crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix together ground beef, eggs, onion, salt, and pepper.
  3. Press meat mixture into 10 by 15-inch cookie sheet with side (jelly roll pan).
  4. Cut meat into serving sized portions.
  5. Dip meat in cracker crumbs, brown in shortening. Place meat in baking dish and pour soup, diluted with water or milk over the meat portions.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
