Ingredients

  • 6 beaten egg yolks
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. farina
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. ground walnuts
  • 6 beaten egg whites
  • 1 large and 1 small container Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Mix the first 6 ingredients thoroughly, then fold in the beaten egg whites.
  2. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  3. Bake for 40 minutes in a 350° oven. Cool, then crumble.
  4. Put together in layers:
  5. Cool Whip, then crumbs, Cool Whip and crumbs.
  6. Cover with Cool Whip.
  7. Decorate with maraschino cherries and walnuts. Refrigerate overnight.
