Citrus Chutney
Ingredients
- 3 large oranges ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar ⓘ
- 1 medium onion, chopped (1 1/2 c.) ⓘ
- 1/2 c. raisins ⓘ
- 1/4 c. lemon juice ⓘ
- 1/4 c. lime juice ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger root ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. ground allspice ⓘ
- 1/2 c. chopped almonds or walnuts ⓘ
Instructions
- Peel oranges, reserving peel.
- Section oranges over bowl to catch juices.
- Remove and discard white membrane from peel. Finely chop enough peel to make 1/4 cup.
