Ingredients

  • 3 large oranges
  • 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1 1/2 c.)
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp. grated fresh ginger root
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1/2 c. chopped almonds or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Peel oranges, reserving peel.
  2. Section oranges over bowl to catch juices.
  3. Remove and discard white membrane from peel. Finely chop enough peel to make 1/4 cup.
