Ingredients

  • 5 fat field mice
  • 1 cup macaroni
  • 1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup tomato, chopped
  • 1 cup grated American cheese
  • cracker crumbs

Instructions

  1. Boil the macaroni for 10 minutes and then drain.
  2. While the macaroni is cooling, fry the mice long enough to render out the fat.
  3. Grease a casserole dish with the fat from the fried mice.
  4. Layer the fried mice, cooked macaroni, sliced onions, and chopped tomatoes in the casserole dish.
  5. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used.
  6. Sprinkle cracker crumbs and grated American cheese on top.
  7. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 30 minutes or until the mice are well done and the top is golden.
