Instructions
- Boil fryer in water to cover until tender-done.
- Remove chicken and set broth aside to cool.
- Debone chicken and chop.
- Saute onion and celery in a small amount of butter or cook in some of the chicken broth.
- Put cornbread, loaf bread, onion, celery, seasonings, eggs and chicken in large bowl.
- Pour broth over ingredients.
- Do not stir until dressing is cool.
- After it is cooled, blend together and pour into a Pyrex dish.
- Bake at 450° until brown.
- Use giblets and remaining broth for gravy.
