Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter (can use half butter, half margarine)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 2/3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. mashed bananas
  • 1/2 c. sour cream or buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. In a
  2. large bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla well. Add eggs, one
  3. at a time and beat well until fluffy.
  4. Sift dry ingredients and add them alternately with the bananas and sour cream
  5. to

  7. butter
  8. mixture, small amounts at a time.
  9. End with
  10. the
  11. dry ingredients and mix gently. Add nuts.
  12. Bake at 350°
  13. for
  14. one
  15. hour.
  16. (I cut baking time to 45/50 minutes and use small
  17. loaf
  18. pans.
  19. This recipe makes one loaf or 3 small pans.)
