Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine egg whites, sugar, light corn syrup, water, salt, and cream of tartar in the top of a double boiler.
  2. Beat over boiling water until the mixture stands in peaks.
  3. Add vanilla and continue beating until the icing is thick enough to spread.
