Ingredients

  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 1 angel food cake

Instructions

  1. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a double boiler over hot (not boiling) water; stir until smooth.
  2. Add egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold the beaten egg whites into the melted chocolate mixture.
