Ingredients

  • 4 cups self-rising flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 1 cup shortening

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients and cut in shortening.
  2. Add milk and mix until combined.
  3. Roll out dough and cut out biscuits.
  4. Place on a baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
  5. Once frozen, store in a freezer bag.
  6. When ready to bake, place frozen biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 450°F.
