Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1/2 cup pimientos
  • 1/2 lb. Old English cheese

Instructions

  1. Melt the cheese and butter together over boiling water.
  2. Stir in finely chopped pimientos into the cheese mixture.
  3. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Place the bread under the broiler until the cheese is brown and bubbly.
  6. Slice and serve.
