Ingredients

  • 4 lb. fresh brisket
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon celery seed
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sage
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • barbecue sauce
  • liquid smoke

Instructions

  1. Mix spices together and rub into meat.
  2. Pour liquid smoke over meat.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Bake at 250°F for 4 to 5 hours.
  5. Pour off liquid.
  6. Cool. When ready to use, slice and pour barbecue sauce over all and reheat.
