Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • salt
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Wash the cauliflower; cut it into small pieces with stems.
  2. Boil the cauliflower in a small amount of water until about half done and still somewhat crisp.
  3. Remove from heat; drain and cool until it can be handled.
  4. In a bowl, beat the egg and milk together to make the dipping mixture.
  5. Dip each cauliflower piece into the egg and milk mixture.
  6. Coat the dipped cauliflower generously with flour, adding salt to taste.
  7. Heat oil in a deep fryer or skillet with about half an inch of oil until hot.
  8. Fry the coated cauliflower until lightly browned on both sides, about 5 minutes.
  9. Serve hot as finger food.
