- Add corn, water, sugar, and pepper to the skillet. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

- Combine cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of cold water, stirring until smooth.
- Stir the cornstarch mixture into the corn and boil for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Top with crumbled bacon before serving.
