Ingredients

  • 10 to 12 medium green onions, chopped
  • 4 to 6 slices bacon
  • 2 c. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. water
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  2. Add chopped green onions to the skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Dissolve cornstarch in milk and add the mixture to the green onions and bacon drippings.
  4. Cook until the mixture thickens, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve hot, ideally with cornbread or your favorite sides.
