Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 (28 oz.) can pork and beans
  • 1 (15 oz.) can chili beans (undrained)
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 jar salsa
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except cheese in a bowl and mix gently.
  2. Transfer the mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole dish.
  3. Bake uncovered at 475°F for 15 minutes.
  4. Reduce oven temperature to 375°F and bake for an additional 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Sprinkle shredded Monterey Jack cheese over the top and bake for 15 minutes longer until cheese is melted and bubbly.
