- Heat 1/2-inch Mazola corn oil in a cast-iron pan until hot.
- Add hulled peanuts to the hot oil and reduce the heat to medium.
- Cook until the peanuts begin to brown, then remove them from the oil.
- Place the peanuts on a pan lined with wax paper.
- Sprinkle salt on the peanuts. They will get browner as they cool.
- Let the peanuts cool completely before storing in a sealed tin can.
