Ingredients

  • 1 lb. peanuts
  • 1/2-inch Mazola corn oil

Instructions

  1. Heat 1/2-inch Mazola corn oil in a cast-iron pan until hot.
  2. Add hulled peanuts to the hot oil and reduce the heat to medium.
  3. Cook until the peanuts begin to brown, then remove them from the oil.
  4. Place the peanuts on a pan lined with wax paper.
  5. Sprinkle salt on the peanuts. They will get browner as they cool.
  6. Let the peanuts cool completely before storing in a sealed tin can.
