A decadent caramel roll made with frozen bread, brown sugar, vanilla pudding, and cinnamon, perfect for a sweet breakfast or dessert that impresses with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 2 loaves frozen bread
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 large package vanilla pudding (not instant)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • nuts and raisins (optional)

Instructions

  1. Thaw the frozen bread, but do not allow it to rise.
  2. Break the bread into pieces and place them in the bottom of a greased 9 x 12-inch pan.
  3. Melt the butter or margarine.
  4. Add brown sugar and vanilla pudding to the melted butter and mix well.
  5. In a separate small bowl, combine milk and cinnamon.
  6. Pour the pudding mixture over the bread, then add the milk and cinnamon mixture on top.
  7. Let the assembly rise for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
  8. Bake the roll for approximately 30 minutes at 350°F.
  9. While still hot, flip the rolls onto a cookie sheet and scrape remaining caramel over them.
