Fruit Flan
A creamy fruit-flavored custard baked in nut-lined ramekins, topped with fresh seasonal fruits, perfect for elegant desserts or casual gatherings.

- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, combine eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract.
- In a small saucepan, heat milk until it just begins to simmer, then pour into the egg mixture and stir well.
- Sprinkle the bottoms of 8 small ramekins evenly with grated nuts.
- Pour the egg and milk mixture into the ramekins.
- Place the ramekins in a baking pan and add hot water to reach about 1 inch high in the pan.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
- Unmold the flans onto glass dessert dishes.
- Top with fresh fruit such as grapes, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, sliced passion fruit, or blackberries.
