Ingredients

  • 8 cups unsalted popped corn
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 (3 oz.) package Jell-O (any flavor)
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Place popped corn in a 4-quart microwave-safe bowl; set aside.
  2. Cook margarine in a 1-quart glass bowl for 30 to 40 seconds in microwave on High.
  3. Stir in Jell-O and corn syrup.
  4. Microwave uncovered on High for 2 to 3 minutes or until boiling.
  5. Stir mixture and add baking soda.
  6. Mix well; mixture will foam up.
  7. Pour over popped corn; toss to coat well.
  8. Microwave on High for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring after each minute.
  9. Turn onto wax paper.
  10. Spread out to cool.
  11. Break into small pieces.
