Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. prunes
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup apricots
  • 1 cup currants
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 small can frozen grape juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Instructions

  1. Wash the fruit and soak in water to cover for about 1 hour or longer.
  2. Add cinnamon and sugar; cook until the fruit is almost done.
  3. Add tapioca and cook until it becomes clear.
  4. Remove from stove.
  5. Add grape juice, orange slices, and lemon slices.
  6. Adjust with more fruit juice if the soup is too thick.
  7. Serve hot as soup or cold as a dessert.
