A refreshing fruit tea smoothie blending sweet strawberries, cantaloupe, and fragrant tea, perfect for hot days or a cool, fruity snack. Suitable for all ages.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 6 tea bags
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 1/2 cups fresh ripe strawberries, halved
  • 1 small ripe cantaloupe, cut into thirds
  • 7 1/2 cups crushed ice

Instructions

  1. In a teapot, pour boiling water over the tea bags. Cover and brew for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the tea bags and stir in sugar and lemon juice. Chill the tea mixture.
  3. For each serving, in a 5-cup blender, combine 3/4 cup of the chilled tea mixture, 1 1/2 cups strawberries, 1/3 cantaloupe, and 2 1/2 cups crushed ice.
  4. Process at high speed until well blended.
  5. Garnish with fresh fruit or mint leaves before serving.
