- Cut the melon in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
- Scoop out melon balls from each half, leaving the shells intact.
- Drain the melon balls well.
- Cut a thin slice from the bottom of each melon half to allow the shells to stand upright.
- Divide the melon balls between the melon shells.
- Dissolve the gelatin completely in boiling water in a large bowl.
- Stir in the cold water.
- Pour the gelatin mixture into the prepared melon shells.
- Refrigerate for 3 hours or until the gelatin is firm.
- Cut the filled melons into wedges and serve.
