Ingredients

  • 4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. double acting baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. jello (any flavor)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Sift flour with baking powder.
  2. Cream butter.
  3. Gradually add sugar and gelatin; cream well after each addition.
  4. Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
  5. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing after each addition until smooth.
  6. Force dough through cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Sprinkle with gelatin.
  8. Decorate as desired.
  9. Bake at 400° for 13 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 5 dozen.
