Ingredients

  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 stick margarine or butter
  • evaporated milk as needed
  • 1 box 10x sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Stir together the white sugar, cocoa, and margarine or butter in a bowl.
  2. Add a couple of tablespoons of evaporated milk to make a stirring mixture.
  3. Put the mixture over heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and gradually add the sifted 10x sugar, 1/3 at a time, using an electric mixer.
  5. Add vanilla and continue beating until the icing is smooth and will spread easily.
