Ingredients

  • 35 to 40 small pickling cucumbers
  • 2 Tbsp. mixed pickle spices
  • 1 Tbsp. dill seed
  • 1 cup salt
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. white sugar
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard seed

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the cucumbers.
  2. Place the cucumbers in a crock with the mixed pickle spices, dill seed, salt, garlic, and mustard seed.
  3. In a pot, boil water, salt, and vinegar. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  4. Pour the cooled brine over the cucumbers in the crock.
  5. Let stand for 2 to 4 weeks before consuming.
