Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • pinch of salt
  • milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 teaspoons baking powder
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix eggs, sugar, oil, and vanilla in a blender until well combined.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture to form a dough.
  4. Add additional flour as needed to make a soft, workable ball of dough.
  5. Let the dough rest on a floured countertop for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  6. Pull off small portions of dough to form 1-inch balls.
  7. Roll each ball into a 3-inch long roll approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch in diameter.
  8. Wrap the roll around your finger to shape a small beehive, then place on a cookie sheet.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until light golden brown, about 5 to 8 minutes.
  10. Watch closely to prevent scorching, then let cool completely.
  11. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
