Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, evaporated milk, whole milk, egg yolks, melted butter, raisins, vanilla, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
  2. Cut 9 slices of bread into cubes.
  3. Add the bread cubes to the mixture and let soak until fully absorbed.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 9-inch baking dish.
  5. Bake at 400°F for 50 minutes to an hour until set and golden.
  6. Let cool before cutting into squares.
  7. Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.
