German Cabbage Chowder

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bratwurst, cut in 1-inch pieces
  • 2 c. carrots, diagonally sliced
  • 1/4 tsp. caraway seed
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 cans cream of celery soup
  • 1 can each: milk and water

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage; add butter, carrots and caraway seed.
  2. Cook until tender.
  3. Stir in other ingredients.
  4. Cook slowly for about 10 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
  5. Makes 8 cups.
