Ingredients

  • cabbage
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can water

Instructions

  1. Chop the cabbage and place it in the bottom of the casserole dish.
  2. Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Drain excess fat from the beef and onion mixture.
  5. Layer the browned meat and onion over the cabbage in the casserole dish.
  6. Sprinkle the rice over the meat layer.
  7. Combine the tomato soup and water, then pour over the rice.
  8. Bake at 350°F for about an hour or until the rice is cooked and tender.
