German Pasta combines hearty sausage, tender vegetables, and flavorful tomato sauce over noodles, creating a comforting dish perfect for family dinners and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped potatoes
  • 12 oz. wide egg noodles
  • 1 cup chopped yellow squash
  • 1 cup chopped zucchini
  • 2 lb. garlic sausage, sliced
  • 2 (1.5) packages spaghetti sauce
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans no salt added tomato paste
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans no salt added tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Boil chopped potatoes until tender and set aside.
  2. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions, omitting salt.
  3. Steam chopped yellow squash and zucchini together; set aside.
  4. Fry sliced garlic sausage in a pan with cooking spray until browned.
  5. Prepare the sauce by mixing spaghetti sauce, no salt added tomato paste, and no salt added tomato sauce in a saucepan. Replace butter with Butter Buds as needed.
  6. Add the boiled potatoes and cooked sausage to the sauce and heat through.
  7. To serve, place noodles on plates, layer with steamed vegetables, and top with the sausage tomato sauce mixture.
