Ingredients

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
  • 2 (3 oz.) packages instant French vanilla pudding
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling
  • 2 (8 oz.) cartons Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Mix the cake mix as directed on the box and spread into two greased 9 x 13-inch pans.
  2. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12 minutes.
  3. Combine cream cheese, pudding, and milk together until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled cake layers.
  5. Layer with cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese layer.
  6. Spread Cool Whip over the cherry filling.
  7. Shave the Hershey bar with a vegetable peeler and sprinkle over the top.
